9-11 happened while I was living in Savannah: classes were canceled, and I remember being rooted to the television in shock and horror. Tangentially, I only made it for one quarter semester living in the city before bailing out to Eden, as the continual stress of city life for this country-mouse was a tad bit overwhelming.
