Tangentially related to this "cheechako" food-service posts, here's a fairly accurate depiction of a day job. I can't for the life of me remember who drew this caricature of me washing dishes at the old Whole Earth health food co-op, but it definitely hits the mark.
I do however remember the awesome cinnamon rolls...good folks, good food and good times. There was something very therapeutic about spending a shift up to the elbows in warm, sudsy water, wrinkled skin and all, especially after the insanity of many years as a waiter and line cook.
