Another "scanned-from-the-sketchbook" series currently running in the News-Miner. Also good fodder for the season seeing as it's prime-time for dog-powered sports (two friends are in the running this year: Tamara in the Yukon Quest - along with Jodi, who's also a rookie in the Iditarod).
Backstory: the local newspaper in Fairbanks used to run a weekly column called "Ask A Trooper," where folks in the community could write in random questions about various legal topics for a real, honest-to-gosh officer to give advice on. The original caption for this panel used to read "Not the right time."
