Last post of the year, so going out on top... easy to do when all you gotta do is flip everything around and start again. One of the nice things about living in the Interior, tempering the long months of bleak darkness and unending subzero temperatures, is the dryness and that defines it as an "arctic desert." This means relatively little precipitation translating into comparatively low levels of snowfall, which is wonderful to this former resident of an area in the Lower 48 known for its record-setting "lake effect" levels.
Even considering against the local proclivity to complain about the weather, whenever we actually do get dumped on, it must truly merit special acknowledgement. Juxtaposed against having to shovel one's own driveway by hand, it becomes Sisyphean in scope. All that being said, if it's the inspiration behind the best coloring job to date, then I guess that's the price of admission, paid in full with funny money.
