"AK Ninja"

I know it's been mentioned on other posts, but this year's experiment in spinning off the proverbial wheel and detaching my output from seasonal syncopation is hilarious to me. In other words my current editor agreed that it really doesn't matter when they come out, as in winter gags in the middle of summer and the converse as well.

It's like a cool mentholated balm on the butt

I generally try and reflect current reality to some degree but after a while that gets a bit boring. It can be a humorous reminder that the grass, or glare ice, is always slicker on the other side. It's like posting a picture of a roll of toilet paper in my outhouse at forty-below in the middle of a heat wave. A mental + visual "ahhh..."

So yeah anyways back to the subject at hand, or in hand, as the case may be. Speaking of outhouses it's not unusual to reach out and nab or smush dozens and dozens during the average sitting while it's peak season.

And hey what a great way to perpetuate the legacy + legend. As an aide to understanding my little incidental homage I posted a link to the definition of "yoink" and lo & behold it's already enshrined.

At the opposite end of such a spectrum of mortality is the the fleeting, temporal nature of a mosquito's life. This as evidenced by the graphic upgrading of my Monday to-do list to a PG-13 rating, on account of the gratuitous gore.

This particular panel ought to be one of the handful remembered over the upcoming years - a new classic in my humble opinion. It's another example of the sub-regional, ultra-topical issues that has extra depth in the context of where it was created. Yeah, sure, there's plenty of mosquitoes in other parts of the planet, but when it comes to biomass, we're a wee bit special.
