Drawing A Blank

Earlier in the year a colleague sent me a message about wanting to know how my mind works. This is a refreshing roundabout on the "where do you get your ideas?" query. But I still had no idea how to answer. This whole blog is testament to that - essentially an on-line fumbling about the topic for years and years of shining a dim light around the mental cave of creativity.

MA good starting point would be perusing the "Top Posts" link list over on the right-side (scroll down) has the best: "Workflow" "Method" "Method II" "Routine" "Routine II" "New/Old Routine (Revised & Revisited)" and even "Breaking the Logjam."

But an important addendum is the plain, simple fact that they just come to me, like the note posted up top here. It came out the other end of the pencil while I tried to retrace my steps in the briarpatch of brambled thoughts. They come, and they go. I haven't a clue sometimes, not where they come from or where they go either.
