"Tree-fiddy" + "That's Dope"

Sometimes I wonder how much a cartoon will make sense if one isn't really in on the source material, like for instance a specific meme, how far something has permeated popular culture to where average folks "get it" or even just think it's funny enough on its own without understanding the root reference. Sometimes.
Not wanting Chef to go too, the boys seek advice from Mr. Garrison, who suggests that Veronica is a succubus: a demoness sent from Hell to prey on and suck the life out of men. The boys go to warn Chef of this, but instead they meet his parents, who tell them about their frequent meetings with the Loch Ness Monster, claiming that the beast is stalking and constantly pestering them for a sum of "about tree fiddy" ($3.50). (This is a take on constant jokes mostly from black comedians, like Richard Pryor, about unusual people asking for money or food during hard times.) - Wikipedia
Then sometimes there are the rare instances when something actually makes me literally laugh out loud, and continues to amuse me every time I look at it. There's a theory on writing that you make the target audience you - in other words don't worry about anything else except making yourself laugh. Trust that if you find it funny then maybe so will someone else - maybe a even enough of a group that it adds to the perpetuation of creation.
Chef's dad: That's right. I said "I ain't giving you no treefiddy you goddam Loch Ness monster! Get your own goddam money!"Urban Dictionary
And there are times when I manage to conflate two equally disparate reference points in the same gag, such as outdoorsy and hipster lingo.

"Ahhh... That's dope"
