My semesterly fascination with people’s hands while they’re drawing started way back in 2009: aside from what’s coming out the end of all the different implements, I continue to amazed at the range of various grips that different folks employ. And the beauty of it all is that it all works: all those marks on pieces of paper that coalesce into something so simple, so expressive and full of individual characteristic that encapsulates the diversity of art… the hands that create.
Thanks for the perspective. As a musician I was frequently told that there was really only one right way to hold your instrument, and all the rest was garbage.
