One of these days I aim to just bang out a cartoon in one shot, as opposed to sometimes effectively doing it three times (four if you count the pencil version done in sketchbook first before doodling it with ballpoint pen). And every so often that does happen, usually as a natural, spontaneous byproduct of the process when amidst the production of several works simultaneously in the studio. A little always leaks out around the edges and winds up on the Bristol whilst juggling pieces in various stages of completion. It's the closest thing to perpetual motion, a sort of fusion reaction wherein more output is generated than what one has to begin with when you sit down at a blank page.
