"Conundrum"

A friend posted this picture from the shaggy days of 2006: we had finished a piece that involved using a laser-cutter to to create an actual jigsaw puzzle. The color print had been bonded to a sheet of wood and then partially reassembled before being glued into place and framed. I think it was originally shown in a UAF Art Department faculty exhibition, but it eventually became the recipient of a People’s Endowment Grant, and “Conundrum” was purchased and remains on display at the UAF Wood Center.
Pictured is my partner in the project, previous co-worker Jeff Dumps, who has his own business in North Pole now - Graphics Unlimited - doing graphic design + vinyl decals, banners & signs.
Oh yeah, and he's also the lead guitarist for the Jesse Quandt Band...

" 'Cause I'd like to see you out in the moonlight
I'd like to kiss you way back in the sticks
I'd like to walk you through a field of wildflowers
And I'd like to check you for ticks."
- Brad Paisley
