"Calving Glaciers"

Originally intended to be an editorial panel on the latest and greatest arctic environmental calamity, wound up evolving into a gag panel instead. Unfortunately there's always another one right behind it (both disasters and cartoons), fueled in part by the emissions of Santorum and company's conspiracy theories.
Still looks like a piggy.

This is a nice example of the editing process done on-the-fly while sketching out ideas. And after all was said & drawn, it finally reminded me why it seemed so familiar a theme: cracking open a copy of my first book from way back in the day (of Flairs, xerox paper + LetraTone) it had already been done, and much better, or at least funnier, as a Freeze-Frame panel. Interesting comparison and contrast though.
