Here's a batch of dailies done up for the experimental "Nuggets" strip...
Aside from the Snoopy homage, you might notice a term "Skookum" - that was the original name for both the feature and for Pingo the beaver, Unfortunately after sketchbooks-worth of development I discovered that at the time it was already being used by Doug Urquhart for his main character in his strip "PAWS." Since retiring the feature (Canada's first syndicated strip) and through correspondence after soliciting some of his work for the Cartoon North exhibit, he graciously bestowed usage of the name, so one of these days I'll be revisiting the theme and seeing what mischievous adventures these critters have been up to...
