"Vegan Wolves"

This panel goes out my many friends in the vegetarian community, of which there are a surprising number up here in the Interior. To say nothing of the huge gardening, farming and agricultural interests.
A little gag on the propensity of wolf packs to go after the comparatively weaker members of the herd: thinning out the weak, old, injured and the defenseless young'uns. So much for the blissful and harmonious image of wilderness - the sticky sap stained-tundra after the wanton and brutal slaughter. It ain't pretty, and many a time I've really had to steel myself to do what's necessary in harvesting my own crops - civilized folks might recoil in horror at the harsh reality of frontier living, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Cartoonists, on the other hand....

  1. I like it, but it took me a moment to realize why — you don't do enough "angry eyes."
