Our neighborhood recently was placed on the "Ready" level of evacuation on account of the ring of wildfires in the Interior. As preparatory steps before issuing "Set" and "Go," we readied our bug-out bags and boxes, prepared the kitty cages, and the kind offers from friends on a place to stay. Definitely adding to the level of stress and anxiety, so a sad little smile can help hold back if not alleviate the doom and gloom. IYKYK and the rabid base of local foragers is every bit as intense as the annual blueberry season in this neck of the woods.
Also include here is an unpublished doodle done while sitting in purgatory at DMV. Prior to attending a workshop over on the East Coast, I had to join the lines of docile citizens and dutifully submit documentation for my travel papers.
