"Beached Alaskan" aka "Ice Goggles"

Is it cultural appropriation, or a respectful homage - an acknowledgement of where I am within the context of the indigenous history of Alaska? Appreciation versus exploitation. Given the tenets of postmodernism, that my personal intent of the latter is irrelevant, while I also would concede the legitimacy of the interpretation of the former perspective.

As with most things it’s entirely possible to possess simultaneous positions in opposition (cognitive dissonance aside). In other words, both can be true, or the very least possess some degrees of legitimacy..

The most important thing I always need to remember is to listen. And learn

It's always an important issue to consider, especially given the shadow cast by colonization over everything in our neck of the woods.

In my experience not only is it responsible as a peripheral member of the media (but still a powerful means of controlling the narrative hence the fear + pushback from the hegemony), it is possible to do the right thing

Lucky me, one of the best ways to learn is by laughing. And ideas are everywhere, and nothing is original... just a newer way of looking at things.

Had to track down the creator of this viral version so hat-tip to Greenlandic music producer Aqqalu Berthelsen who absolutely won the internet.
