"Alaska 911"

An important part of the arctic puzzle, the sheer density of mosquitoes in Alaska can be maddening, reportedly greater than that of all the caribou in the state, in swarms the size of Rhode Island. (see here for great sampler of some fieldwork up on the Slope see here).

It occurs to me that this might be one of the last panels I'll ever draw that has an old-school land-line telephone in it. Mosquitoes, however, are timeless.
