"Needle Exchange"

Based on my personal experience with drug addicts - some of the finest people I've ever known and certainly more trustworthy and ethical than many other supposed pillars of community respect - and from the perspective of someone with equal experience in recovery, gallows humor is an important and healthy aspect of the healing process.

I was reminded of this particular panel given the recent loss, not in the sense of another abstracted celebrity, but from a good friend's loss of a family member. And it wasn't in some tabloid, but right here in this very neck of the woods. Unfortunately one never has to look very far to find someone who might need help. So seriously, addiction sucks, and it kills artists. If you need it, get help - it's there, just ask for it.
