This strip was one of my first, done back in 1982 while still in Upstate New York. Also unearthed (in a recent excavation of the mulch-pile known as storage) was the preliminary rough.
One can see how the preoccupation with such Big Questions eventually led me to become a philosophy major in college. That is, after dropping out of highschool.
That and also probably illustrates why I used to flunk art classes.
