"The Alaska Perennial"

As I'm writing this post, which will inevitably get shuffled around in the production pipeline to a different date long after the initial publication in the paper, the snow has all melted away. We have a similar situation with the wands used to guide vehicles coming in for a landing on the runway of a driveway all winter - the annual hardpack excavation plows out whatever we hadn't yet run over.

Then there's the resultant drifts of consumerism castaways, eyesores to be picked up after the slobs. At least I generate quality, handmade artisan litter. It's like picking up a shiny new penny, though it's valued at around a nickel at least.

Had a house/petsitting gig where I was introduced to a wonderful new breed of puppy - "Labradoodle." What energy, and such intelligence too. Fetching one might say... Also both breeds offered their editorial input and my sketch passed the smell test.
