Working on another commission for a client, and after several rounds of concept sketches for as many different designs, and late last night I finally spun off the creative wheel. Doodles like this help to re-grease the mental wheels, and at some point you just have to go with what's happening instead of flogging a dead horse, muskox. Inspiration can arise in part due to fatigue from working at the day job and coming home to stay up way too late obsessing over artistic things. And lastly, having this at approximately eye-level on a shelf in front of me also makes for something of a trippy trigger:

Nasal cavity, Ovibos moschatus skull

Not unlike getting lost in a Georgia O'Keefe, oftentimes it's the little things that make for some spectacularly weird and beautiful day-dream trance sessions.

Q: What happened when all the muskox wool that was collected was stolen?

A: The police combed the area.
