| Harlequin Ducks by Roger Tory Peterson |
Alongside "Ding" Darling, the work of Roger Tory Peterson stands above and beyond other American artists when considering their skill and impact upon society. I've written several times about the influence and admiration I personally have for Peterson (previously posted here, here and here) and take any opportunity to showcase his work when I'm in the classroom as well.
Of particular note are his little-seen pen & ink pieces, and here's a chance to support the Roger Tory Peterson Institute's recent effort to better promote these gorgeous and masterly works and educate more folks about them with this Indiegogo Project.
