"Apocalyptic" is a point of view: I'm sure from the perspective of many other denizens on the planet environmental Armageddon is well underway. Ironic in that most disasters are always viewed from within the anthropomorphic framework of "progress" since collapse won't necessarily be the end of things. At least not to those left picking up the pieces.
Wasn't sure where this one was headed, or where it'll wind up - cynical editorial or a depressing Nuggets.
