I got to volunteer for an evening of sitting around drawing cartoons (light pencil + Sharpie & wash) to hand out to kids at this year's Tanana Valley State Fair at the Literacy Council of Alaska's booth. Always fun to entice folks into watching demos and give away doodles while promoting the efforts of a really important non-profit organization. Originally the drawing said "Take a Bite out of a Book!" but on the third piece I mispelled the word "Take" which was embarassing enough to edit the verbage down to something easier. So much for being the face of literacy...
